To make it as clear as we can, here are some simple guidelines:

a) like any forum, the success of tirnahifi is entirely dependent on discussion. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion of music, hifi, etc.
b) tirnahifi is not designed to be, nor intended to be, a marketplace. Any member who uses the site merely for selling will be looked on suspiciously.
c) those members who choose to sell on the site should be aware that the mods do keep an eye on the stuff for sale, plus the demeanour of the seller. Sometimes we may lock/delete/ban a sales thread on this basis.
d) honesty is paramount in all selling transactions. Commercial sellers who label themselves as such are accepted at the discretion of the moderating team.
e) All ads have to include information about age, price, provenance, etc.

Hi Tony,

Please find the link below. Really, really good choice of tubes they have!
I think they charge extra 2 euro for matching the tubes, for each tube.

Goodness, they really DO have quite the selection, and at very good prices. I'm pretty sure the last time I looked they had nothing like that kind of array of stuff, because I scoured everywhere looking for EF184 valves and ended up on eBay. They have an absolutely plethora of those now. Interesting!

I couldn't see the matching option... do I just tell them and see?

Also I think they charge vat on top of the prices advertised does that not bring it up to the Hotrox prices?

Yes, you can ask. The guy who I emailed to confirm available stock replayed to me to that it cost extra 2euro per tube to match.
I'll have my KT88 if you ever wanted to try and see if you like it.

DaveF wrote:I got 8 Tung Sol KT120's delivered from Hot Rox yesterday. Won't be until Thursday before I get them set up so I'll report back then. Most people seem to recommend them over the KT88's. They are a 'hardier' valve too I believe.

Great service from Hot Rox, got a call from them within an hour after placing the order to ask me what tolerances I wanted for a matched Octet. Valves were well packed for shipping.

Hi Dave,

Did you have a chance to assess the KT120 yet? What do you think?
Cheers
