The right feet under speakers - different ones work better under different speakers it seems. Ceraballs work great under my dubhs. Also under a transport - e-sorbs under other items (TT etc).
It seems to me that such feet have most effect under transports, turntables and speakers.

A simple measurement mike.
It's around 100 euros.
You know how speakers never sound the same at home...
Well the mike can help you spot problems with your room (and/or speakers).
As for correcting the problem : mooving the speakers, sound absorbant on wall, spikes or isolant, and EQ of course.
Sometimes you can have a drop of 2 or 3db at some frequencies... that's huge !

Another room helper - if you don't want to fork out for a dB meter, you can often download apps that are a good guide. Beware that they are fairly inaccurate at low and higher frequencies, but one really helped me with integrating a sub waaay back. Really helped get it to integrate seamlessly with the horns I was using at the time.
