Lovely system and room you have there. Very relaxing and homely looking.

didn't see the quads last time I was there Fran. Are they integrated with tower speakers? I presume you've once stacked them with the other pair of quads?

Thanks fellas,

I might have had the quads in storage when you were here Dave. I've never stacked them .... I need a second pair!

There's other stuff like dacs and phonostages but nothing that's very presentable.

A few pics of my system.

At the moment it comprises of my Arcam FMJ cd33 into a Tc level pilot passive volume control feeding my ATC scm50asl's.
I have an ATC CA2 pre amp on order.

Isoclean US socket with Ps audio Premier sc power cord feeding one of my speakers.

One of my speakers after i put a slab under each of them. Works wonders for the sound.

Hi Fran

I have about 100hrs on them now and they are sounding superb. They have a complete lack of any character of their own, so you really hear everything on the disc and in your system. Great recordings sound stunning, but poor or highly compressed recordings sound bad.

Its said that ATC's take between 200 and 500hrs to fully run in.
My previous ATC scm19's took 200 hours. Its very obvious and sudden when they are run in, like lifting a duvet from over the speakers. This is especially noticeable in their midrange performance.

Im looking forward to getting the ATC pre amp as this will drive the amp packs properly as they were designed to work together and have a matched output/input impedance.

I also intend to get a Dac of some sort and sell the Arcam and use a Teac VRDS player as a transport and get into computer audio with something like a squeezebox touch.
