Simon, hope you can make it with your Croft gear in tow.

James & Tom, sorry you won't be joining us, maybe next time.

How to get here:
The address is: 14,Village Mill Enterprise Park, Rathnew.

https://www.google.ie/maps/place/The+Vi ... 69acbef777

My Number is 086-2403066........ you'll need to call me to get through the gate!

Might suggest the later start time of 8pm, just to give you folks a bit of breathing time if you've been working all day! But if anyone wants to come earlier they are most welcome.

CK.

Many thanks to Ciaran for a night of wonderful listening, chat & hospitality.
It was good to put some faces to forum names and the music kept flowing.

It all kicked off at 8ish finished at 1ish.

Star on the night; the D2W speakers. A 2 1/2 way floor stander with SEAS drivers and solid walnut fascia . They played with poise and authority, well worth putting on your audition list. I loved them.

I'll let Ciaran list the speakers played and the other lads fill in some of the hardware they brought along, including a '60's vintage Leak amp and a similar aged Bush integrated.

'twas a really good night

Thx indeed, it was a great evening !

Both floorstanders were sounding good, (in their respective price range).
And indeed the D2W speakers (6K euros a pair) were great performers.
Listening to them with the Legendary Leak 20 valve amp, was truly really fantastic !

There was also great music, with some collectors vinyls !

I bringed a modest Bush A746 (15 W - 4 ohms - early 60s), that is a interesting, because the output stage use Germanium transistors (instead of silicium). So it produce a "lively" and lovely sound.
