Came across this in Spindizzy over the weekend. Delighted to have finally picked up Drake's 3 albums on vinyl.
What music did you buy/get in the post today?

Got this little dittie at the Peter Broderick gig last night where I not only met and spoke with Johan (Tsukimono) but...
....also spoke with Peter himself :-) I bought this lovely little item too ....it's an enhanced CD.
Swans new one. I believe they are playing somewhere in Dublin tonight...
Got this Rhino set in Freebird where they were also selling the new/old Dylan vinyl box set for €95.00!?!?
Tower incidentally were selling it for €129.00?!!? Why the price difference? Brian in Freebird explained
to me that they get a 20% discount which is not added on to the final price. So now you know...BTW
the Doors cover is lovingly reproduced and I also noticed that they've replicated the original gatefold
sleeve for 'Waiting For The Sun'.
Was surprised to see this on double vinyl early this morning in, would you believe, Celtic Note?!?!!? My first
ever visit to their vinyl section and it wasn't bad at all... Pity about the ghastly sleeve though :(

Dave, I only have two tracks by SH and that was the one Lp I desired! I actually had it in my hand in Freebird last week and nearly passed out when I saw the price! Somehow I also thought it was only a single Lp too. So I said, no way! If I had have copped on that it was, in fact, a double I probably would have thrown caution to the wind and went for it. Enjoy anyway I believe it's a classic with enough energy to keep the turbines going until the end of time :-)))DaveF wrote:picked this double LP up today...

I thought it was quite pricey too so I asked if it was a double LP. The guy there gave it a very high recommendation and given that he hasnt let me down before I went for it. The album really is terrific though and well worth the purchase. I think he has another one on order.cybot wrote:Dave, I only have two tracks by SH and that was the one Lp I desired! I'm also trying to decide whether to get the Dylan Witmark demos vinyl set or wait for the mono set. I have more than half of those mono releases from Sundazed anyway so its probably not worth getting the boxset.

If it was me I'd buy the relatively cheap CD version, have a good listen and take it from there. As regards the Mono set just make sure that they're actually better than the Sundazed set. If the answer's in the affirmative then go for the Mono box...But then again the Sundazed stuff is usually top notch anyway. Decisions, decisions :-)
Re: What music did you buy/get in the post today?
Picked up this in Freebird earlier. BTW, Freebird was the busiest I've seen it in years.
