That's strange Fergus because I'm getting it on the preview! I must try it again....and see if I can find out what's happening.

Can't figure out what's happening as the video is playing perfectly on my iPad mini with iOS 8.4.

I simply copy the link and paste it between the youtube link as I've always done. Baffling!

I've just noticed on my much older iPad the videos are not coming up at all. I checked YouTube itself and it's exactly the same! Have never seen that before so there's something not quite right.....

I was in with Ivor just the other day, anytime I'm in need of a coffee the kindness of the man is exploited to the nth degree.

We were chatting as usual about Music and Cars and Music and Equipment and Music, kind of pub talk without the pub.
Anyway we talked our way around to "The Drive By Truckers" which led to Patterson Hood (Main-man with TDBT) which led to his Dad "David Hood" (house Bass player FAME records an original Swamper) that led to "The Swampers" that came round to Bettye LaVette.
We both remembered a crackin' album by her, recorded at FAME in Muscle Shoals and produced at least in part by Patterson Hood.

The title of the Album refers to her having recorded there 35 years earlier in 1972 a full album but it was shelved.

When it became known she was recording many of her old friends of 35 years previous dropped in to see what was happening some of them were musicians that played on that shelved album.
Including several of The Swampers, Jimmy Johnson, Roger Hawkins, Spooner Oldham.
Rick Hall the man that founded FAME also came by to encourage her.

The Band on this Album were made up of The Drive By Truckers, along with Spooner Oldham, David Hood, Kelvin Holly (amongst others.

I dug the CD out last evening and turned up the go louder thingy and was highly rewarded, Ivor and I had remembered it correctly, a really crackin' Album.

The Album is incredible with Two truly outstanding tracks;
Somebody Pick Up my Pieces (written by Willie Nelson)
Talking Old Soldiers (Written by Elton John, Bernie Taupin)

yeah, I remember those tracks in particular as being gems. It's a long wait until 9:30pm :(
