just watching developments in bhe and regen. Is it possible there will be a regen device that makes all players sound the same ? In which case no need for MQn. BHE and MQn both show that the pcm data itself can affect the sq, so maybe regen is incorrect about what it thinks it's doing to reduce noise.

bhe apart from rewriter is based on the authors perceived issues with pcm, of course it could be the player software that adds these deficiencies in the first place.

the regen is a reclocker of sorts it will likely help but not completely cure
if it would cure completely so would a separately powered pcie usb card
sd card player, modded soekris dac, class a lifepo4 amp or gb class a/b amp, diy open baffle speakers based on project audio mundorf trio 10's

I don't think there will be a 'silver bullet'.
Reality usually encompasses more aspects than the simplified 'silver bullet' approach.

MQn is still to only player that gives me a WOW-experience.
+1

For me it is especially unlimited mqnloader (preferably with newest version ldn 15).

All sample rates version for me including DoP and I'll be more than happy with the recent MQN's.

I haven't a clue how an non-Haswell version would sound but that's what I'd need along with many others. BHE is doing well currently though it's a PITA in terms of setup and time delays.

+1 here. I still use the later versions(8.91-9.10) of MQn exclusively and older for odd hires stuff.
Gordon seems to be at the very least on a sabbatical. Can't blame everyone needs a break.
Hope development continues on this it has been a great journey.

Hi,

I have just noticed the '2channleaudio' blog has disappeared ..

http://2channelaudio.blogspot.com.au/20 ... ng-of.html

This is/was a very good introduction to stalling/running MQN.

So, two questions

Is the '2channnelaudio' blog still available ?
Where can I find a quick intro to installing/running MQN ?
