I know, that ogg is a lossy format and today I would convert to flac, but these files are from the early days, where harddisks weren't as cheap as they are today :)

Although ogg is a better lossy format, it's still lossy, also if converted with bitrates in 4-500 kbps, but I have 3,000 of these files laying around, and if I want to be able to play these
with MQn, I could of course convert these to flac without further loss in quality. (If Taggert doesn't make this change to the mqnload program :)

You could also just convert them to wav and play them directly via mqn.
As long as you know they are coming from ogg.

Will compile a new version with ogg support tomorrow or the other day.

Thanks
am playing with the feature where the wait function was not working, but the music still plays. By having a wait for every 10 ioctl commands the music plays and cpu is below 1%, sq seems to offer more insight as well.

also using vs 2015 ctp which has changed the sound.

need to get win 8.1 working so will do a non haswell win 8.1 build with device fix and multitrack. still think best sq might still be with fixed device.

can then transfer that to haswell win 10/8.1 etc

also playing with debuggers to understand better what is going on in the code
