That is my latest attempt to delve into the chamber music of Debussy. It contains the wonderful sonata for flute, viola and harp (which I am sure that you know) and Six épigraphes antiques pour flute, viola and two harps which I do not know at all but am keenly awaiting a listen in order to hear music for such a wonderful chamber line up! The CD also includes a work by Alain Louvier, whom I have never heard of.
I came across this CD as I was randomly searching for French chamber music and simply could not resist its allure!!

The Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp is an extraordinary piece, Fergus, and one of the most inventive chamber pieces of music that I've heard. Among recent versions of this work, I am extremely fond of the following recordings which also boast some very well chosen couplings.

Gryphon Diablo 300, dCS Rossini (with matching clock), Kharma Exquisite Mini, Ansuz C2, Finite Elemente Master Reference.

This is a beautiful version of the Onslow cello sonatas, Fergus.

Thank you for those Paul; I think that it is a work that would benefit from a modern performance so I will look into those two recommendations.

I have been pondering the Mullova/Gardiner Beethoven VC for a while now....

....so I have pulled the trigger on it. I eagerly await a listen to it.
