Perhaps neither of these, Sean - although I do love the versions by Herreweghe, Gardiner and Suzuki, I think the version by Philippe Pierlot is particularly outstanding.

I am not familiar with that recording Paul, all will be revealed in the morning. I am really looking forward to it.

Well done Paul. Pierlot is in first place. Herreweghe was an alternate choice and he gave a special mention to the Suzuki and Hickock recordings. If I had to choose between them I'd pick the Herreweghe. I happen to feel that the Gardiner is very special indeed.

And it's Schubert"s D959 next week, wonderful.

Interesting; I have not come across Hickox before in this work.
