Interesting Stereophile article

I liked this, and it probably reflects a lot of my changing views towards hifi. It also touches on the idea that we're all listening for different things at the end of the day:

Fascinating read. Thanks Si. Were you in Frans on Sunday? If you were I missed you [too busy rummaging in the CD boxes, thanks to Derek and Ivor]

And thanks for your contribution too Tom, I was listening to that CD on the jazz book last night... Very good. I have a lot of it already but context is nice.
Vinyl -anything else is data storage.

Hi Tom, I took one of your Ella Fitzgerald CDs, but I fear that my new and improved beard might have disguised me just a bit too much...!! I was the one who asked if you still had the Krell, forgetting momentarily that I meant Classe!
