Re: MQN
Has anyone compared the latest MQn versions to Bughead Emperor HQ?
Of particular interest to me would be opinions from Headfi listeners.....
Cheers

Re: MQN
It is pretty much in my signature. I am not 100% up to date with MQn, my computer doesn't play the newest versions. I need to upgrade it.elaprince wrote:I guess we are lucky
What you are using?
i3 Haswell, PPAStudio USB3 card and USB Micro cable/Chord Hugo/Nad-275BEE/Harbeth-30.1
Re: MQN
APL HiFi DSD-S dac is also used by one of the jPlay creators at this moment. Another DSD outputting dac.elaprince wrote:I am using APL HiFi DSD-S dac

Review will be coming soon
As far as BHE compared to MQn
Well all I can say there is no comparison MQn is in different league (better league)
Everything sounds better with MQn
I can say the same for DSD-S or even older sibling DAC-S if someone doesn't need DSD stuff
Maybe but maybe M<Qn is a little shy on Base
But that could be system depended
Thanks

Hi Gordon,
what do you think, when will my dream come true, that all the poor "Nonhaswellusers" will be able to enjoy the outstanding combination 9.12/4.25 with Ivy/Sandy CPUs?
Kind regards - Fujak

It's getting increasingly difficult to differentiate MQN from DSD , for me DSD(128) has the edge but not by much.

I did a quick Mqn search on that article and did find any reference to the player....
I guess I will need to read the whole article when I have time.

Re: MQN
Ken Moreland,
If I may ask: when you "get" the latest MQn combo to work what is it you do?
I have been having problems getting any combo to work and I have come to the conclusion it is likely a defective WAVE IO, nonetheless I would like to know what tricks you have, what do you do, to get MQn versions to work?
Figure what you are doing would be of interest to the less experienced of us out here!
Thanks,

Re: MQN
The article is a review of the DAC by 6Moons and I think the reviewer used PureMusic and Audirvana.
