Took me a minute Fergus - thinking it was a macro of a dandelion, but its a fountain isn't it? All about the light....
This is an oddity. I've been working a fair bit on some photography for an exhibition by a good friend of mine which will be opening soon in the decorative arts museum in Collin's barracks. He needs images for the web, for the book, various publications, records and so on. I shot this today - and it was just shot as a test for lighting, which was way over exposed. The actual piece is in reality black. I adjusted the strobes and went on shooting. When I was taking the images off the card tonight I saw this and thought it was interesting in its own right.

Yes indeed Fran, a circular type fountain in a shopping centre. The shot was taken from above with the fountain side lit.Fran wrote:Took me a minute Fergus - thinking it was a macro of a dandelion, but its a fountain isn't it? All about the light....

That looks microbial or cosmic Fran. With the over exposure you obviously captured the reflected light from the surface. It looks great though.

love those last two fergus - especially the dune one. I could spend a day at the beach shooting those kinds of shots. They are always great.
