"atom laptop... and a MX500 earphone" also enough for testing, only maybe some versions doesn't work. try v3.xx made by MASM and ml64.exe, think there's big potential coz my assembly skill still nod good as needed, will learn more, many many things can do with registers, stack, heap, threads, sse, avx,...

tried more with PE format, think will try write private simple tool for compiling code, manual building. coz now exe file is small, 3-4 kb, only 2 sections, almost parameters can be set to 0. not sure.

tried 3.0 masm and 3.9.1 256
3.xx beats 2.xx. treble is more relax. can hear a lot of more of everything!
piano fast notes are much improved. almost can play legato. almost

loving the sound of 3.0 masm... shall try more versions

v3.0 masm is first assembly version, almost things have transfered from last C code of v2.xx (copy loop method of v2.99.4 256 c7). later versions used more "hi-tech", but SQ even lesser? think there's misuse of registers.
will back to method of v2.99.4 256 c7, tricks of wasapi buffer address, more benefit than other methods.
try last versions which goon-heaven comments say good. i like his testing, almost right comments.

feel v3.10 sound more mellow, vibration. its copy loop builded from v2.99.4 256 c7.
v3.9.3 more energy, power. and v3.9.3 novcr seems in midle, balance better.
try them and enjoy.

vibration better, sound have more depth. i think v3.9.1 balance better, more bass power. try them.

tried many different things of intel, prefetch cache L1, L2, L3, non-temporal store, sse, avx,... but SQ didn't improved. hmm...

v3.9.2 256 sse

sxb copy by byte-once, sse by 16 bytes-once (uses xmm registers). try them and compare, maybe sse better for your RAM. in my case sxb better, sound more natural.

earaches seems also the least of all lekt

brothers... 3.10 seems better compromise for c7 series.

difficult one.... 3.9 small has bass like s4, sunny and positive.
c7 bass is more dark. different style

prefer 3.9 small. never heard less earaches from all lekt. natural sound. nothing aggressive.

newer versions all have much improved focus compared to 2.xx
foreground has focus. background is quieter as it should.

1. lock desktop
2. power plan -> close lid -> does nothing
3. close the lid of laptop

found a piece of laptop ram rated at 5-5-5-15. love the sound.

my desktop consair ram can do x-x-x-3x too. but has tension in sound.

3.9 256 small is my all time favorite now

3.9 256 small jitter response is very simple.

open more programs, don't use battery, don't close laptop lid etc
-> little dirtier, focus lesser little, little tenser. like bad radio reception
-> all analog elements kept
