Speaker switch

Post by MooseTrackz »

I'm hoping that someone can help with a problem I've recently encountered. I have an old (30+) QED speaker switching unit that I'd like to put back into service but can't remember how to wire it.

This is the switch:

and this is part I can't remember:

any hints would be most appreciated

thanks!

Is it just one unit for both channels? If so:

pink - left ch in
red - left ch out 1
black - left ch out 2

green - right ch in
brown - right ch out 1
blue - right ch out 2

Join left channel grounds together, and join rights channel grounds together - perhaps there is a terminal somewhere not shown where these go?

Do or do not, there is no try

I can't find any additional terminals hidden in obscure locations so I will assume that they don't exist. I'm going to give this a bash with a couple of pairs of speakers that I can afford to destroy.

Thanks Fran!
