I'm assuming it's Polish text, can any other Polish users help ?

grisaia

what pc/OS and device do you have, might not be avx2 capable ?

can you send a screenshot of the mqnplayer3 directory so can check the files are correct.
I did not want to be harsh.
But I myself usually do read a thread just once (even the long ones) as many of the basic questions a novice has will be answered along the way and it is not always an easy task to guide a novice through all the steps and basic knowledge needed to make adjustments on his personal setup. And reading it all by himself will give him a lot of insight into the workings and difficulties he can come across.

I never take the easy route or shortcuts myself (privately or in work).

so wasn't trying to be harsh, but taking him along the route I would take myself.

Sorry :-(

Cheers ;-)

no problem, grisaia sent me a great bit of guitar recording (only 55 seconds long) that really sings with MQn. Hope he can make it available.

9.01/3.87 doesn't leave much to the imagination

9.00 was a bit short on treble

am struggling because the settings I'm using shouldn't make a difference, but they do.

The device-id is pointing to a KS-device. The driver for this device has several entry and exit points called pins.
Like the device shown below, it has pins 0 - 3

The small program mqndevinfo.exe from Gordon reports both the device and the pin that is used for mqn playback.

Looks like this:

The first line is the device id.
The zero on the second line is the pin number used by MQn.

BTW
All the examples shown are from my desktop machine and not from my main AudioPC in the living room.
Just in case someone notices different devices between what I show here (RME FireFace) and what 'my' aleg MQn-versions are for (SonicWeld Diverter)

Cheers

Still prefer 3.83/8.97 over the latest 3.87/9.01
The former has a more open sound with more clarity & insight, where the latter sounds a bit more flat and less open/spacious.

I like the 3.86/9.00 better than 3.87/9.01 but it is a bit too warm, rounded, polite for me.

Tried the 9.00 paired with control 3.83 and that is again much better.

So I suspect I mostly have an issue with the later control versions beyond 3.83 than I may have with the play versions though I haven't tried every combination.

Cheers
