I can't keep up! trying out 3.78avx2 with 3.93 avx2 x2dev on Ciunas and sounds really detailed.
Wow the extra body using these versions on Ciunas with Spendors really good.

Nigel have you tried any of these specific device versions??

after extensive testing it was found to be too bass heavy, so am on to 3.82/8.95 which is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. Listening to Astral Weeks and think it renders the atmospherics pretty well.

3.83/8.96 seems a good compromise between detail and bass.

3.81/8.94 is in archive if you want thumping bass

It could be just me, but I prefer 3.74/aa 3 over 3.83/8.96.
Incredable depth...it chellanges DSD, if not better. I guess, how DSD MQn would sound like...:)

Playing 3.83/8.96 and the sound is top dollar. As George/cvrle59 says it's right up there with DSD, lots of detail , huge soundstage and good bass but overall the atmosphere is superb.
Here's a good article from TAS http://www.theabsolutesound.com/article ... rformance/ . especially the correlation between apparent performer height with sound quality.
