A number of things came up late last week / early this week - necessitated attending to them today so I took the day off work to get them out of the way.

All of which means I will be home earlier than originally anticipated so I'm hoping to be with you, avec 2nd pair of Gales, around 7 bells if that suits?

Really looking forward to the evening - especially looking forward to some "Linn" time - miss mine, perhaps this will be the kick in the pants I need to get mine sorted.

Disc Finder was owned by Joe Conway. He had a huge collection of jazz records at home. When he closed the shop he had a small studio built in his house and recorded jazz shows for various local radio stations, I'm not sure which ones.
I remember that shop in Dandelion Green, I'm pretty sure that I bought a Barbara Thompson album there.
I worked in it at weekends so I might have sold it to you. It's a small world. I listened to the Gales many a time and I loved them.

I often browsed there myself but I can't remember if I bought anything there... I probably did. Not your typical jazz customer... blue hair, bondage trousers, red docs? No?
Vinyl -anything else is data storage.

No yikes, you probably would have scared the bejaypers out of us. Most of the customers looking for Jazz records were middle aged men, or so it seemed to me at the time. That said, clients of all ages, shapes and sizes bought ECM LPs, the Koln Concert sold like hot cakes.

Young German tourists bought a lot of traditional Irish music.

Off topic, sorry.

I don't think there's photographic evidence Si, I was a very quick mover then... it was all a blur....
