Very happy tonight with the outcome. Sound is tunable. Seems all worthwhile. the msi is still a bit strange. the eist setting was standing out last night seems no hope of finding it now. Also ethernet seems well hidden away.

I created a new thread for MSI Bios Tony, have a look at the images and see if you can make sense of them.
Key to getting there is follow the text in the top of each image to get to the page.

Many thanks Pearse and good to see I was looking in the right place re timing but as your photo's show one would be a little nervous
changing the Dram timing without a bit more of a pointer.

Aahhh maybe you missed all the discussion recently on this Mobo on the Jplay site Tony but to change values you need to drop the mouse cursor over those "Auto" sections then click and then type in values on your keyboard. You cannot tgo too wrong as if you do the Mobo generally resets to default if you go wrong.
Worst case if all goes bad just pull the power and the board button battery for a minute and all should be back to default so you can start all over agin!!!
