Switch for More Inputs on Amplifier

Post by james »

I am thinking of getting a switch to let me have more inputs with my amplifier. I have seen some on-line but I have no idea of the quality. Can anyone suggest a good one ? I don't need remote control. Thanks. James

Hi James
I have an old QED unit that works very well (I just have 2 inputs on my amp) but I don't think they make them any more, they do speaker switches OK but I couldn't find one for Interconnect.
I did find this http://www.hifix.co.uk/hi-fi-switching- ... box-s.html from Project I don't know if they're good, bad or indifferent but given Project are a pretty good brand I think you could do worse.
F5Pi Amp(Nelson Pass design), Airtight ATM-4, Ruark Accolades, Pink Triangle TT, Roksan Artimiz, Clearaudio Discovery, Tom Evans Microgroove Plus, Audiolab 6000 CDT, Fran DAC, Dalkey Audio Interconnects.

Thanks for that -- if I am in town at the weekend I might ask about it in Cloney's shop in Tower since I think Cloney does Project.

I was in Maplins today [the one near Henry St / Mary St] and I bought something called SP-19 4-way sudio input control [maplin's own brand and made in Taiwan] for Euro 16.99 ..

http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/4-way-stereo- ... -box-cn47b

This seems to be the same thing on the maplins website but with a different code-number.

I will try it .. I am not too interested in [very high] quality since its for stuff I don't really use like a Cassette Deck and a Tuner.

The box has 4 inputs .. 3 phono and one mini-jack-plug
