Thanks Tony, Jim McShane has something similar... I've used Jim before so....
Genalex Gold Lion KT-77 reissues! I now have a good supply of these really great sounding & well made tubes in
stock. Unlike the other KT-77 brand in the market, these tubes are rock solid quality and reliability is excellent!
Price Cut! Singles are $44.50, pairs are $89.50, quads are $179.50. Please note - these tubes have a special shipping
rate to any USA address of $6.00 for a quad (outside the USA is higher & some exceptions apply).
Vinyl -anything else is data storage.

I'd also say a good word for Upscale Audio if you're thinking of importing from the US.

I had a look there too (I've looked everywhere!) Jim's might not claim to be Cryo but afaik he matches them all himself and his price is $179.50 as opposed to Upscale's $289.75 for 4.

Yeah, definitely pays to shop around. Upscale was by far the best value for the E188CC valves I bought last year, but it very much depends on what you're looking for.

(Given the risk of getting shafted for customs, and the fact that the ones you're looking at are modern valves rather than NOS, would you be tempted to stick to Europe? Watford Valves sell matched quads, and I know Steve was happy when he bought his KT120s there. Anyway, I'm sure you're on top of it!)

Let us know how you get on one way or the other. I've been mulling over replacing the EL34s in my Audio Innovations...

Watford don't have quite what I'm looking for Si. A few of the US companies know how to dodge the duty too... bless 'em.

'Twas actually Hotrox that I got the KT120's from. Was all set to press the button on Watford Audio until realised that prices on website were ex VAT. So quick check against Hotrox and they were the better price. Service grand too.

Have to admit, my experience with JJ Tesla's was rather negative. KT88's which started to fail quite quickly. Imported from US. Might have been just poor batch...
