I use only 2 USB ports and the most "handy"(close to the corner) are usb 2.0, but that still does not matter.
Problem is that in the diagram it does not say which number is what USB port!
It only shows 14 ports in MoBo and does not say which one is 2.0 or 3.0, or the position! :(
think you can get a usb3 header cable for the fc5 change them usb2 slots into usb3
might be worth investigating

other than that it would likely be trial and error unless pearse knows
I did have pictures of the bios settings on the Intel board but cannot find them no matter where I look!
It was a case of trial and error to track them down but from memory the 1 to 4 are those close to the corner if that is any help.

Hey guys
Wondering if anyone has changed out a 25 MHz crystal for a better oscillator, and which oscillator did you use?

I was looking at sil labs, crystek and fox as possibilities.

Thanks
Randy

Yep it's in this thread somewhere
25mhz clock 32.786 kHz and usb card replacements
All good improvements
Used Silabs and fox
sd card player, modded soekris dac, class a lifepo4 amp or gb class a/b amp, diy open baffle speakers based on project audio mundorf trio 10's

I did try searching but couldn't find anything about it.

I need to buy some stuff from mouser or digikey pretty soon so I'll buy some oscillators and give it a try.

Cool, thanks for that.

I was also looking at the ebay Vanguard oscillator, wondered what you thought if it?

And I'm having a conversation with Crom at diyaudio on this subject.

I think my H81 chipset only wants a 2.0V max signal on the 25MHz clock lines, so I'm thinking I'll pick an oscillator that works at lower voltage, and feed it 2VDC for VCC, and it will be safer.

The Silabs Si520 series will run down to 1.7VDC.

Yea Crom mentioned he had some issues with multiple clock replacements
I had trouble too nearly felt like quiting ca modding :)

But I'm very familiar with the haswell msi boards I've had a few[emoji3]
Every clock I've put on it at least worked
Once a return gnd route that works has been found

Where's the thread at diya ill scoot over and take a look
