The HDSPe will easily play JPlay Kernel Streaming DirectStream into buffer 32, so I assume min buffer 133 is a result of all the clod in Wasapi layers blocking the sound on its way down to the KS layers?

i think less buffer = better fast notes
but medium speed notes seem lesser

for ultra super fast piano, i think 32 might help.
for drum speed, 256 is already quite perfect i guess.

i like 2.4.3, 2.90.7, 2.90.9, 2.97.7mb, 2.98.12 sop, 2.99, 2.98.14 ctlx1 c2..... all versions can play it haha

very hard to beat v2.98.12 256 sop, it have good sound texture. vocal and bass focus locates a bit above center (seems 61.8%, fibonacci ratio, hehe... coz i feel harmony of sound movement, always rises up to just enough heigh ~0.618). its SQ not much but sound have resonance => good power, stable.
tried recompile but lesser SQ, its also good compiled...

2.98.17 256 ucx3 > 2.98.16 256 ctlx1

tested with "the future never dies". the song has lots of up and down.

sop 60% better. ucx3 40 better.

very challenging to find max correctness in reproducing music.

sop goes down needs a bit deeper.

ucx3 has some up and down earaches. tempo not accurate enough.

sop should be best in most things.

3 these last versions have thing better than sop: musical notes scale, more correct, even better than 160 versions. => sound more live. but thinness?? i think a bit rich.

ucx3 vocal is good, bass is raw. need more soft.

there's focus doesn't need in center, otherwise sound like as go down, weighty.
do you remember nopgomemcpy. its vocal and bass focus like as sop, harmony of movement. SQ not much but enjoyable, natural emotion. engaging.

maybe the sound go down enough. but needs louder.
i just don't feel enough. mqn1.2/2.2 goes down more, stronger.

have some subtle differences. 0.5% difference i would say.

need compile 1 version every min, until best version comes hehehehe

in real concert, i can fall asleep.


2.98.14 160 ctlx1 is just pure music. i don't feel engaged or not engaged. pure music.
