Re: Bass guitar wanted
Preferably a Precision bass but would consider any kind of 4 string bass really. Hoping for a Mexican built Fender or an upmarket Squier. If an amp came with the package that would be a bonus. A new Squier kit [bass, amp etc.] can be bought for around €325 give or take. Sort of in that price range with some leeway......

Thanks for your replies Gussie. I feel that any from your magnificent collection of basses would be way out of my budget and ability to play. I posted in the hope that someone has a bass, literally under the bed in its case, that is no longer needed. Something that I could learn some basic bass chops on. I had a look at DoneDeal, Adverts & eBay for that reason. Prices are pretty close to new Dublin music shop prices so I will probably buy new unless I come across a Squier P-Bass or J-Bass for around €150. Or an instrument of comparable quality for about the same money.

Just spotted this, might be ok. Otherwise like you said a new bass & amp package might be the way to go. Mexican bass making around €400 on line by the looks of it.
