makes 16/44 sound a bit rustic, first time I've noticed a difference, the 24/96 seems to have much better body, detail etcKen Moreland wrote:5.14avx2 24/96 is much improved on 5.07 (even though I liked that one yesterday) . Just started listening to it but the improvement is clear, better bass, lots of detail and atmosphere.

Re: MQN
5.14 avx2 24/96 sq is excellent.
A minor problem I have noticed only on 24/96 is that sometimes it doesn't play a folder , usually I just copy the folder and hit MQN.bat and off it goes and displays all the tracks in the folder and then begins play. In 24/96 , it will display all the tracks but sometimes doesn't play. If I just copy a few tracks it will play perfectly. I'm using mqncontrol 3.61 512, perhaps there's a different control I should be using or some adjustment needs to be made for 24/96.

Re: MQN
That would tally because it played one album which was 1.75Gb but not one of 1.98Gb (Gregory Porter - Liquid Spirit).
Could the limit be increased and also for forthcoming 24/192 versions? :)

Re: MQN - HDD Activity
Don't know if it just my system, but I have noticed that more recent versions seem to play without any access to SSD at all during play. Whereas before I noted regular quick bursts of the HDD LED during playback, indicating that MQn was accessing hard drive for something. I have two SSDs - one for OS and the other for Music. I don't know which one was being accessed.
I am pleased to note no SSD activity during playback, as I thought that MQn should be loading the playlist into RAM before playing and therefore no HDD activity should be ongoing after loading.
