listening more to 2.40.1... still very good

2.40.1 has very good high density sound.
piano sound is weight focus -> reproducing the pianist.

2.90x has best vibration.
piano sound is vibration focus -> reproducing the piano.

i think everyday using win8/2012, SQ automatically -0.1%.

if don't reinstall after 1 year.... 1*0.999^365 = 69% SQ of original windows lol....

now i can hear texture/micro very clearly!

2.90.9 has best quality vibration.
s4 vibration is thinner. but more relaxing
2.90.4 maybe only version that is vibration-focus also produce good high density sound. quantity is HIGHEST.
2.40.1 high density is good. vibration not enough.
2.90.8 seems to have good guitar. not sure.

2.92 fibo is much better today. maybe coz i restore windows?! today weight is correct no earaches?! no crackling?!

i think crackling distorted the weight... so maybe i misjudged.... maybe crackling will come back hehe

....bass is too soft

i think lekt player sounds much better with tight bass
for good soft bass, i think s4 is best example.

for best tight bass, i think 2.90.9 is the one... (still little hard here. i believe OS is the issue)

now i think about it... i have been using s4 the most for vocal...
s4 has stability in sound. very very calm. very steady sound. drum weight is also correct -> correct emotion.
s4 also has the special transparent sound... makes the sound feel very expensive
for delicate sound, i think s4 is the one
s4 is so weird... it has thin sound but also rich?! i just love it. no software sounds like this

ok... this week the BEST SOUND for me is 2.90.4
2.90.4 is totally real. not soft. not tight. just right. this is as real as it gets.
mqn.exe2.2 MOD only 'feels' live and real.
2.90.4 is actually real for many albums.
even xa + win7 cannot make sound like this. xa+win7 is on the side of soft+mellow.

testing in the weekend is so different. i have no program running. everything is easy.

only the sound is cheap. big $$$ difference. speakers $$$ > my digital setup.

my digital setup cannot produce atmosphere! i think 2.90.4 very possible has correct atmosphere. maybe you can test it?

yes, very good. v2.90.4 is most non-earache, very soft but kept ~enough clariry focus. later versions have more clarity sound but little earache (0.01 - 0.05 %). seems v2.90.4 is balancing but some detailed elements still not balancing, so its balance not like as v2.4.3. overall v2.90.4 maybe is best in total.
in all versions exists whatever shadow, micro shadow, which eclipses true sound, as non-clean glass/mirror. need clean it 100% (or ~) by improvement balance so then all things will have good focus 100% or ~

i can give you code to stripping iso of "win8.1 with update"
a little cleaner than original.

for example, IIS is useless in win8. Microsoft allows you to officially delete it:

Dism /Image:.\Mount /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:IIS-WebServerRole /remove
Dism /Image:.\Mount /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:IIS-WebServer /remove
Dism /Image:.\Mount /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:IIS-CommonHttpFeatures /remove
etc...

about 50-70 things you can delete from win8 iso.

in R2, there is about 200-500 things you can officially delete. and people think R2 is better....
they are listening to noises....

i see pkshan stripping win7 that isn't provided by microsoft... need truly good testing skill... if 1 thing is wrong, SQ= -10%. very difficult. i will do this after tweaking

alright... normal priority = crackling 7 out to 10 times
realtime -> always much better... can listen with headphones...
(think need buffer bigger)

texture is very clearly now.
2.92.1 seems a bit too smooth.

used render loop as v2.40.1 that can lesser touch buffer pointer. changed read file functions, RAM type. think sound more open, not compressed (but i still like sound color of v2.90.17, v2.92.x, more dark, only issue with hard bass)

microsoft is right again, i carefull tested with small buffer size, better than large buffer size, more vibration.
in my case v2.93 160 better, very good bass and femal vocal. soft, lovely.
try 160 with onboard sound card, JC.

tell me what your minimal buffer size of sound card? will release version for you, JC.
my min sizes: 160/256/352/448 for different concept. cheap system, hehe...
