i suspect you have RSAT running in your R2.

when RSAT is enabled(not neccessarily running), it can negate the micro-messiness into glory.

can you check
dism /online /get-features

look for RSAT, and see if it is enabled? thx

as people may know, i modded the old mqn.exe2.2

haven't listened to it for months.... my OS/bios went through 40-50 changes since then.
relistening... wow... huge improvements.
full analog vocal. as in, it is the real thing.
i have forgotten i was listening using headphones

vocal emotion is peaking... eyes have tears!

not only this old mqn has high reward in fixing jitters,
in my opinion, it has ultra high ratio in musicality per resolution

though quantity/details is less than the new mqn, musicality is eternal.
(this old mqn has the same drum weight as 3.39. full weight)

4.22 sse2 was a fantastic revision, one of the best prior to the avx focus.
I can't comment on the avx versions, as I don't have win8.1 on my i5 PC.

I saw Gordon uploaded 4.47 sse3 I'll need to give that a spin.
But I am very happy already

i am sure AVX2 makes great details and resolution.

but issues with AVX, sse, intel C++ etc, they embed certain sound signatures.
not as analog as old mqn.exe

in the old days, cassette sounded just fine.

nowadays, as long as DAC is involved, $10000 setup can still suck.

analog comes before resolution/details.
i believe that.
