No joy for me on 4.26 none of these new avx's work for me. Not too bothered as 4.09sse512 sounds fine for me.
Too much detail is too hard on the ears.

A very late thank you to Sligolad for his working avx folder and to Aleg for clarifications regarding read only attributes and run as admin requirements.Yes,the latest avx versions are tricky to run,but worth the effort.I ended up with 3 different solutions on 3 different audio-PCs.The MQnLoad from Sligolad´s folder has some mysterious embedded admin rights which means I can have a post script Tasker batch file without assigning run as admin to MQnLoad in Win 8.1.In WS R2 I can´t launch both 3.14 avx and the latest avx versions from MQnLoad, 3.14 will only work inside Sligolad´s folder with wav files copied to MQn.bat.This means no Tasker and no fiddling with Pro Audio clock rate settings for 3.14 avx ,but in general I prefer sbgk´s default settings, not decimal 448 or 512.
I have listened to avx versions 4.15,4.21,4.23 and briefly to the latest 4.30 and 4.33 .For vocal treble transients 4.23 are the smoothest and least analytical,so not necessarily everyone´s darling.4.30 is very close, but 4.33 appears to have more bite/HF extension, but not as much as 4.21.
2CA´s description of 4.22 sse is spot on,so nothing to add except that my personal preference is 4.23 over 4.21 due to slightly more midrange bloom and vocal liquidness in 4.23.Compared to 3.14 avx I think every SQ related aspect has now improved except vibration and texture which seems to be impossible to retain when macro resolution takes a big leap forward. The MQn post- 4.0x has far better detail level and timing than any previous releases.Transient control is clearly superior, spatial cues extraordinary, reverbs superb. In comparison 3.14 avx appears somewhat recessed and slower ,struggling a bit with highly dynamic recordings .Still very good with classical chamber music though where you are awarded with an apparent richer timbre ,but overall I much prefer the latest MQn house sound. So another huge kudos to you sbgk for your latest creations which to my ears are very close to perfection.Looking forward to a fresh avx hirez version.

Cheers

Jorgen
