Yes,3.39 sse2 is the the new top pick .3.39 avx crackles here too.After a fresh R2 install I have 24/96 also through my AP2 both with driver 1.16 and without.
Retested this morning 3.39 sse2 mqnplay2496.exe with thesycon 1.67 and 2.20 drivers and they now perform just fine.
Zuma with i7 IvyB 3770T-1,6GHz,WS R2 MSM ,PPA V4 card + NEC drivers,PPA Red Sata,PPA Pico,PPA power cables,RAM Crucial BT 4GB 800mHz 9-9-9-24 and 3 separate PSUs-TZYun Red USB cable-AP2 with PP -direct BNC -Metrum Octave Mk1-WAL L1-JOB 225

for playing say 96khz
if you change clockrate, you have to change my DAC to 96khz too

my DAC is set to 44100. it doesn't switch sample rate by itself.

i also use reclock software. that is set to 44100 too... sh*t...
a lot of things need changing for playing hires

every sample rate is a project on its own

crackling on the new avx here too
sd card player, modded soekris dac, class a lifepo4 amp or gb class a/b amp, diy open baffle speakers based on project audio mundorf trio 10's

there is a bug in the 3.39 avx

have uploaded 3.39 no pre buff sse2/avx versions, think they might be better than 3.39

a bit harsh sounding

I seem to prefer the avx 3.27 to avx 3.39 no pre. It has more shine to it.
Only a short listen though

uploaded 3.39 avx with bug fix

and 2 other versions, but think 3.39 is better

uploaded 24/96 avx 3.39 bug fix as well

Hello Gordon,

the older reference 2.62 sse2 plays 16/24 bit with 44.1/48/96.

Hope the new 3.39 sse2 can do this soon.

Stop, wait.

I want to test on a second DDC, which only works with 24bit.

My two DDCs have different sounds, so I am very interested to know, whether the 3.39 is the final version at all.
