I've been playing catch up with all the 16/44 versions with my new DDC.

Tried 2.62, 2.98, 2.99, 3.14, 3.18, 3.37 with different control.exe all in sse2

Nothing really hit it, nothing too bad either...just a mixed picture.

Enter 3.39.

First time today I got really good synergy. WOW, THIS ONE IS GOOD. Goosebumps and smiles all around.
My final version....for the time being :-)

Wunderbar, Gordon.

Gordon! Congratulations, your latest work is a giant step. Just been to a live concert, the bochum symphoniker in my hometown bochum. I must say: in some aspects like bass control or harshness it seems sometimes more comfortable to listen to music at home with MQn instead of listening in an not perfect concert hall.

No music on avx just buzzing sound, does vs2013 have anything to do with it because I've not installed it

a good while ago discovered the latest vs 2013 runtime libraries gave a little sq increase
not sure that still stands but likely does
neverless should work fine without

If you use SysInternals ProcesMonitor you can see that Clock Rate is not read again after it has been set by mqncontrol!
Would one not expect to see the Clock Rate being read from registry just like it is when mmcss is started?
There is so little documented about how this actually is done by Windows.

When mmcss is started you can see that svchost is reading clock rate from registry.
When mqncontrol is run you can see clock rate is being changed in registry, but it doesn't seem to be read again.

you got me interested. you can detect change in sound during playback.

i guess, svchost has a pointer to the memory to the registry.
JC,
a pointer to a dedicated value of registry, are you sure? I don't know any technique to do this. It's a database. Even if complete registry is loaded into RAM, how can you get the correct memory address of exactly this value?
