The combination of control 1.1 and play AVX 2.26 gives the best detail, resolution, timing, sound stage, punch, tonality, timbre, you name it, and as always this is in my system with my ears. :-)

Same here, but I'm still switching between Control 1.1 and Control 100000.

2.30 sse2 is very nice. Has detail in spades but nice warmth that I like. Too lazy to compare it to other versions tonight.Did try R2.3 sse2 but prefer the later version. Wonder is it too warm for Nigels tastes but I think it covers all bases and no fierce treble but plenty of depth to the detail? Instrument separation and black background.

Some of the others are very similar but this is really good

Just discovered something that lifts MQn into Jplay levels of detail retrieval, uploaded 2.31 sse2.

2.30 and 2.31 can play all resolutions.

I've been loving sse2 2.30....I can't imagine how 2.31 could improve it but we've been here many times before!

it's opened up the sound quite a bit, this can be altered if it is too much, but overall effect is to get closer to the music.

by jplay detail, I mean't the jplay sound can be a richer more layered experience, this is a similar effect with great detail and sustain, achieved by removing things rather than code though.

seem to get better atmospherics and sustain with control 1.1 rather than 1.0 with R2.31, 1.1/R2.31 really is something to behold.

How good is good enough ? Think we're approaching that point.

2.31 sse2 is excellent, listening to it today, so far so good on all sample rates. Well done.
