I don't fully understand the math
Unless I had two versions to compare I wouldn't have a clue

24 bit conversions sounded better on 2.73 448 than any other player until I heard mqn avx 24 bit
think it's just a compromise, 24/192 at 100000 doesn't sound good, the copy instructions work best with a certain size chunk of data to copy etc.
Horrible word compromise shouldn't be used in audio
Lol
OK
24 192 sounded better on the 512 than the r1.1 original if that helps
Dunno if we're going to clog it making it very small
it's only 16 bit that changed buffer size to 512 so 24 bit shouldn't be affected by buffer size changes, although there were other changes.

play/control 24 bit R1.0 512

Bug was that 24/192 would stop randomly.
Gordon

Does this bug also affect the 32-bit version?
I have not yet listened to 192/24, mostly 44.1/24 and 96/24 and nothing happened there.

If 32-bit is also affected could you release a bug fix for that one as well please?

Thank you

Cheers

Made quick 30 sec comparison on the 24 bit earlier
Retested yes it's better on the 512 version whatever you did
What's buffer at you using for 24 192 then 1024?

What version are you talking about at this stage I am trying R1.1 but I have a feeling there might be 20 versions of this. Not even sure if I am using the right control file.
Went retro for testing tonight Chemical Bros Exit Planet Dust. Jasus it works on the 57's didn't think that would be the case.

Gordon I think you need to hear ESL's if you don't it is like going to Barcelona and skipping La Sagrada.

R1.1 seems to have lots of body and detail but no harsh edges

I did, I can't comment on 7b, sorry, I didn't try at at all. But, I think I still prefer 100000. I am not sure 100% yet, but I think it is more enjoyable. "100000 gets under musician's skin". It could just psychological effect, thinking that I may be loosing something, because 100000 is so good.

think i know what you mean
definitely something still in 100000 thats not in the 512
100000 seems more fluid,
everything else better in r1.0 512

anyone else try it yet?

Listening to R1.0 512 now took a bit of fiddling to get the right control.exe. Very very smooth. Like it.

Can somebody just remind me what Mqnplay and control is being used with 100000 as i seem to have missed that.

mqncontrol.exe 24 bit avx2 v1 100000, but you need to go to archive to get it.
