Gordon

I just tried the latest R1.1 and it is very good indeed.

R1.1 airyness is as good as 100000.
R1.1 texture and microdetails is very good too.

Very good lifelike representation of acoustical instruments, both in deep bass, highs and texture.

I don't know what you changed but would recommend to keep this one as the basis for the other versions.

Thank you for finding this one.

Cheers

avx2 v1 win8.1-r2 100000 actually works on win8/2012!!!!

here comes the true test on my 2012...
CD tune
doesn't sound correct like it is on R2. some sort of width compression... (need R2... damn it...)
emotion is still there. also not as rich as i hope... bass layer is weak/just ok
the timing is excellent. as good as R2.

uploaded 32 bit version of control/play R1

and renamed hirez v1 control to 24 bit R1 control, use like with like.

Barring any bug fixes, that's the development of MQn finished as far as SQ goes (WASAPI), whether ks will be better we'll see.

Thanks for all the testing/support and feedback, hopefully we've all learned something along the way.

M5lig

I am using it with "mqncontrol.exe hirez v1" which has the 'problem' I can only start it from mqnload and not from mqn.bat.
For testing purposes I was OK with that, but other releases like 100000 didn't have that problem.

I just saw Gordon released a 32-bit mqncontrol so I will try that first.

Cheers

need to use corresponding mqncontrol eg r1.0 with r1.1, 32 with 32 etc
otherwise it wont work (well at least not as it should)

i couldnt get tasker to work oob with mqnload so i stopped using mqnload
SQ first right!

The version for 24-in-32 bit container is working beautifully too.

I've got a working setup for 24-in-24 bit container here in dropbox:

and a working setup for 24-in-32 bit container here in dropbox:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7u3kcy9k281yta1/u9hSbfNtOa

Both contain also a tasker-version of mqn.bat called mqn-aff.bat and the tasker is included.

The only thing to change is the name of the directory in mqn.bat and mqn-aff.bat on line 3 were you put all this stuff.

Cheers

OK tried r1. 1 and 100000

Aleg right r1.1 is a new base version
But JC right too bass control is not as good as 100000
Will need to be tightened up

Is r1.1 a halfway house between 448 and 2048

Where did you read comments from JC about R1.1?
If I understood correctly, all his comments were about the 100000 version.

But I understand you feel R1.1 has lost some bass control compared to 100000?

I have been very much focussed on texture, details and airyness.
Could not really be very critical on bass control either because I had to use non-DRC music and my room setup has some issues with booming bass (hence DRC).
Right now I'm not bothered with by the bass in my DRC playback, but will try to shift my attention to that aspect. But for now I'm very pleased with R1.1

Cheers
