Apologies for those that thought v7 was good, you'll just have to listen to your record collection again.
Mistaken or not, I like it the best V7. V7b was to soft.

Tony, if this makes you feel better, neither I can play the 100000! I guess that we are on the same side of the fence! Is it grass greener on the other side?! ;-)
did you spot v10, think there was something slightly unnatural about v9.

Not yet. But I've noticed that you have. Good experiences?
Unfortunately a good linear has a also "good" price tag.
linear or battery would have had more benefit than the dc converter
almost anything will be better than random smps
these have been used with good success
http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-97w-dc ... pply-xm21x
you could turn one of these up to 16v
item audio recommends voltcraft linear too they might be worth a look too

the "good price tags" usually have more to do with a "good" margin for the seller
there are some genuine inexpensive supplies out there

You are right, the v10 that I had was the ss2 v10!
I just realized that there is avx v10 also! To many different V's!:(
Now I can see even the avx v13 and avx 128 v1! Will try tonight.

avx 128 v1 is just the old avx v1 renamed

v13 is the best I've heard, should astonish and delight in equal measure. Finally got all the ducks in a row.

It's the best I can get without putting the whole render loop in assembly and would rather spend time trying to get ks working.

Not bad
What period size did you use in the end
Still have hope for the 100000
Hardly fancy a v13 at 100000

Avx v13 beats anything I heard so far on my system at 16/44...period!
I like 16/44 by this version more than hirez I heard so far (v4 200000).
