According to the detailed Tracklist for that set on Amazon UK that is the 1981 version Seán.

....light but charming.
Alas, I have yet to get any recordings of works by Boyce.

I had a rare few moments in front of the speakers yesterday evening and very much enjoyed Schiff playing Schubert:

This morning, my wife asked me if I was listening to a piano disc or playing the piano myself. We'll arrange to see a doctor about her hearing asap.

Oh, what lovely complement, András Schiff would be please. If his Bach is anything to go by Schiff's Schubert music-making should be wonderful, I must get that set and compare and contrast it with my Kempff, Lupu & Clara Haskil recordings.

Somehow I always gravitate towards Richter for the Schubert sonatas. Granted, Schiff is wonderful and he tends to be the artist I listen to for Bach on the piano. Your post makes me prone to check listen to Schiff playing Schubert!!!! :)

I have never heard about Brescianello!! (so much to learn about the music from the Baroque period!!!). Thanks for showcasing it Fergus. What does it compare to in the realm of more "known" works?
