Picked this lot up on vinyl over the last couple of days. Delighted to find a new copy of Ziggy Stardust in Spindizzy today as I've been looking for Bowie on vinyl for a while now.
This one is going to be "interesting" from what I've read.
This one is the 30th Anniversary Edition copy.

Terrific haul Dave and......you got the Jimi Hendrix too :-) Hope you don't think it's too ramshackle after what you said about the White Album!. Anyway do let us know what you think and especially your opinions on the Tim Buckley Lps,which I've tended to steer away from, surprisingly enough, with the exception of 'Happy/Sad'....

cheers lad. I already had a listen to side one of Blue Afternoon and I really like it so far. It was considered a collectors item up until a few years ago just before it was finally reissued in 2007. Probably the most accessible of Buckley's albums I've heard to date.

Gosh, I have not listened to that (or any Bowie album) in quite some time....I must rectify that soon!!
Enjoy your new purchases Dave!

A rather strange day in Dublin without Road :( It was great to restart again, after a long absence, with Freebird! It was also a humbling experience to be right back at the bottom of the snake after all these years :)
On Dave's recommendation, for the supposedly improved sonics - from the original analogue tapes etc
Hopefully it'll destroy the other versions I have...
Put this yummy 3 Lp box set aside 'til next time...
My eureka buy! I couldn't believe it was available on vinyl again!

think I saw that one in Freebird before behind the counter. It looks tempting! :-)

Exactly... I have the original (incomplete) Robert Johnson Lps that used to do the rounds but this set really is complete. It's on the Doxy label and I only have one example of a Doxy pressing (Miles Davis) which is stunning sonically. I'm not expecting this to be stunning sonically (how could it!) but just to have the complete Johnson.I believe it comes with a poster and all the lyrics too...
