Yes its easier to bring too much, I like the sound out of the Meither anyway

what's your os configuration
r2 regedit settings audiophil settings
MQN jplay etc
ill try to have the same configuration so they will be comparable and ill get the Meither driver ready

do the weights have that much effect?

surprised it had much effect on the SSD, as theres no moving parts (suppose neither does the cpu)
spinning drives are an entirely different matter

Before I built this SSD box I tried tinier aluminum around the SSD, to see if it makes the difference. The improvement was very audible, I guess from grounding the box and preventing EMI. Then I start to build this enclosure. Honestly, I never compared after. :(
But, in my opinion, you don't need to have moving parts to get micro-vibrations. You get them wherever you have current flowing. There is no actual moving parts in CPU, but that heavy brass does magic.

Since I bought a lot of 3M sheets, first AB-5100, then AB-5100S and I went till I reach the limit in my hole system (around 30 sheets), now I have a couple sheets left, if anybody interested.

Hi Nige, I have avoided all OS optimisations since my latest R2 install about 2 months ago and just sticking to Audiophils Optimiser.
R2 with latest Meitner Driver 1.63 I think, R2 installed as GUI then switched to core once setup, then AP Optimiser at 1B I think, everything accepted and HPET on, no NIC enabled.
JPlay 5.2 Ultrastream, 20 Ultrasize, Directlink on all buffers and the only change I made yesterday in JPlay regedit settings was changing Minimode to 0.

Since I got my audio PC and Quads back yesterday I have been stunned by how well everything sounds, somehow there is much more in midrange and particularly in bass, been discussing it with Seb and nothing has changed that we can work out except Seb would have put up a lot of hours on my audio PC over the past 2 weeks and maybe all those PPA cables are coming in to their own finally.
It sounds so rich and warm that I am resistant to touch anything which might change it....just loving listening to music at the moment!
Afraid to touch all the messy wiring inside which even you will be horrified by in case I loose the sound I currently have.
For the sake of comparison next weekend if we want to make changes I think I will install a fresh copy of my configuration on my Toshiba SSD and mess with this so I keep my PPA CF SSD as it is. Off to listen to some more music, discovered Carey Bell this weekend and loving Second Nature recorded with his son in a studio in Finland in 1991 with tape machine running for 3 hours with both just enjoying what they do :-)

Inside my DAC (Wadia 922/931 are 3 units); My amps - on top of both transformers and under the amps; around my speaker power transformers; on top of my battery what supply's RR-777; on top of my Zuma power supply and, like you already know, inside my Zuma and inside breaker box. Maybe some little pieces here and there.
Before switching to 3M I had around 20 Shakti stones in my system. I had 3 in my breaker box. Breaker box is the first place that I will start with EMI stuff!

Fran grand I can do that. Adam is suggesting cutting the sheets in half for safer postage. Nigel/Fran are you guys ok with that?
