This rel-issue, is that a thing of the ddc drivers or a thing of the actual ddc hardware? My Sonicweld DDC uses Thesycon drivers, but they are still the Windows 7 stuff because Josh from Sonicweld hasn't released his Windows 8 versions yet. So I just wondered if I should push him again, but now with a more acute reason.

The 2.71 raw background 8 + get normal is my favourite 1024. It has a good sense of space and detail and just that little extra depth jn the lower bass. I love it, it is my benchmark.
don't think it is a driver version issue, just the it works.

so the non rel version works ok ?

shall listen to the 1024 again.
the 1024 version doesn't do it for me.

Can happen :-).

Yes, the rel-versions are just fine.

some people can't even play the rel one that's why I had the 3 different versions, don't think my mf vlink 192 can play the rel one, but the jk ciunas can.

Just noticed I can't play 192kHz music anymore, not with 448 but also not with 1024 2.71 raw background 8 + get normal. I can still play it with 1024 2.71 intel rb 1024 sw, my before last favourite 1024-version.

I don't have that much 192kHz music so hadn't tried it for some time.

Anyone else having issues with this sample rate?

Edit:
448 won't play 96 kHz either while 1024 2.71 raw background 8 + get normal does play 96 kHz.

Chips, if only I had known :-). Did I miss an announcement of that?

Well of both 448 engines my favourite is definitely the movdqa version, better clarity and presence. The 10 ms is a bit more muddled.

Can I have my highres back, please?
please? :-)

Cheers

Yes Alex you start to get distracted! ;-)

It's Sbgk announcement on page 136: "So have uploaded a version of control and play that has 10ms period, 448 samples (16/44.1 only)"

don't know if you have to stop the jplay server first as it grabs the audio device and mqn can't initiate it.[/quote]

I have stopped the Jplay first and still will not play. When I open task manager in the background processes only mqncontrol is showing. Why would this be?
