Forum rules
Note that Tir Na HiFi does not take any responsibility for transactions arranged or carried out here. It is up to the seller and buyer to check each other out! Please be sensible folks, and if there is something you think is wrong, let a mod know, OK?
To make it as clear as we can, here are some simple guidelines:
a) like any forum, the success of tirnahifi is entirely dependent on discussion. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion of music, hifi, etc.
b) tirnahifi is not designed to be, nor intended to be, a marketplace. Any member who uses the site merely for selling will be looked on suspiciously.
c) those members who choose to sell on the site should be aware that the mods do keep an eye on the stuff for sale, plus the demeanour of the seller. Sometimes we may lock/delete/ban a sales thread on this basis.
d) honesty is paramount in all selling transactions. Commercial sellers who label themselves as such are accepted at the discretion of the moderating team.
e) All ads have to include information about age, price, provenance, etc.
f) THE MODERATING TEAM RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY ADS AT THEIR DISCRETION.
g) Commercial sellers should approach any of the moderation team in advance of posting. First time commercial posts without moderator contact will be removed.

Mission M74 Floorstanders - at Bargain Price! SOLD!
Have to shift these to make way for a piano and they're too tall for my recent garage home cinema/projector set-up, (blocking the lower part of the screen)...so here goes:
Mission M74 Floorstanders (beech finish) in perfect condition - about eight years old, one careful owner in pet-free, smoke-free, kid-free home!
"Almost impossible to fault at this price - a near-perfect blend of scale and cohesion" said What HiFi in their five star review of May 2001. "The top-of-the-range M74s represent supreme value for money and performance which is rare with speakers costing far more."
Will accept just 75 Euro for them, which is way less than half of the going rate as per a couple of recent Adverts.ie sales (see below)
http://www.adverts.ie/home-audio/missio ... sh/3086351
http://www.adverts.ie/home-audio/missio ... ers/612173
There's no catch - apart from the fact that I can't demo them, as my Denon home cinema amp doesn't work anymore (but feel free to bring along an amp and connect them up if you wish). Also, I had them bi-wired and can't find the metal binding posts right now (they're somewhere in the house!) Not a problem, of course, as the terminations can be linked with a piece of cable.
Collection only - I'm in Cabinteely, Dublin 18, just a few yards off the N11 near Dunnes, Cornelscourt, and a few minutes drive from the M50 (Junction 15.)
