It's one hell of unit and I recommend it highly. Oh, by the way, the thing is gorgeous! The picture doesn't begin to do it justice. Its hand made and has the exquisite finish quality of a diamond ring. Just about everyone I’ve spoken with who has spent time with the HA-1A has fallen in love. Careful, you will too!

This is a really good Headphone amp with pre outs too.
Class A with triode and ultra linear settings.

In fantastic condition.
I bought it from an upstanding member here.
But, to be honest, I've hardly used it!

**The amp was bought in America so I am selling it with good quality external transformer so it’s ready to be used.

I've used Senn HD 650's and there's lots of ooomph left.

Cost me over €500.00
For sale at €500.00

Thanks for looking,
Gerry

That looks kinda familiar! I take it the window is not as per the picture i.e silver(chrome finish) not gold.
Was wondering who it was moved on to. That was mine. As a comparison I currently have a little dot MKiii amp (cheaper) and while it is nice and acceptable the cayin is just a top notch headphone amp with the ability to drive small speakers. I used it with spendor a6's albeit at low background level as it only puts out flea watts as a stereo amp. It's strengths are the various settings and the ability to drive akg k701's. Also the blackness when listening to quiet passages of music is on another planet compared to the little dot.

Hiya Tony.
Correct. The bezel on the window is chrome.
Don't have a photo of actual one to hand.

Well spotted!

This is one seriously heavy-duty piece of gear. We're not kidding. It weighs 15 ½ pounds!! It's made from ultra-high-quality parts. It looks stunning – especially for a headphone amp. The sound is so typically Cayin – that being natural and musically delicate without excessive warmth or detail. In other words: just right. It's got an impedance selector switch that ranges from 6 to 300 ohms, so that it interfaces perfectly with any pair of headphones.

And, with an efficient pair of bookshelf speakers, the HA-1A can actually serve as a very effective integrated amp. How's that for versatility?

We dare you to find a head amp for under $1,000 that's even in the same league as this! Seriously!

I wanted to keep it also but it would mean needing a garage to store all the bits I didnt want to part with.
Great thing is it will drive speakers albeit lowish volume but as a headphone amp top drawer.
