yes yes. need very careful adjustment of 2.39.1! all perfect.

uploaded v2.39.6 256 , new render loop, new RAM.

soundstage 3D dimention, weight, brightness are correct. never heard such soundstage, sound very open/free, natural emotion. feel focus of vocal and instruments exactly in true location, all things are clarity. sound is stability, maybe don't need tweak windows..
this soundstage presents true oval/elip, my favorite oval, JC. try it end enjoy!

very busy tweaking win2012. i am about to finish. it is about +/- 5% of XA's win7 only if i can fix the earaches hehe... windows is too complex- everything depends on everything. bad bad bad for SQ. 1 mistake = 10 good tweaks.

-2.39.1mod has perfect piano. i mean it. very difficult to beat it hehe! (you are basically competing with yourself)

lekt player sounds very different today! because, guess what, i forgot to set "Run this program as an administrator". especially when a lot of thing is going on in the computer. admin right gives priority to lekt player. in my case -10% vibration without admin right

on my windows 2.39.7 not open/free as 2.39.6, only vibration better. 2.39.6 soundstage more correct, can work on bad windows.

yes, agree. almost there! just need 2.39.6's soundstage + 2.39.1 = very balance+correct.

on my setup, XA gives most correct soundstage in old japanese pop. so, i will use japanese pop for test.
-instrument positionings are very similar. good sign!
-XA gives better sense of layers- more clear on what's at the front and at the back. comparatively, 2.39.6 can seem crowded.
-XA has bigger stage size.

im re-wrighting code, need use new method, all old methods have limitied SQ, JC.
what do you tweaked your OSs, i know you have many windows, very bussy? don'nt break machines, hehe...

in the text he says that the audio engine tries to maintain a 10ms cadence

So have uploaded a version of control and play that has 10ms period, 448 samples (16/44.1 only)

2.71 448 10

the pro audio MMCSS clock rate setting is 10158

does sound quite/very musical, though thinner than larger buffer versions

maybe buffers which are a factor of 10ms would work best.

apparently, 10ms is a magic number for WASAPI??

if you need a quick solution. install XA win7 + following the tweaks exactly as stated by XA's blog. about 5-10% increase in vibration compared to my 2012.

but i think 2012 will be better. R2 is quite bad.

i posted about half my tweaks on my optimization thread... i only post what i am currently doing, so all the old tweaks are missing. but they are pretty the same as that on XA's blog.
