In Mexico City? In the tropics? Surely not Pepe?Jose Echenique wrote:[

I do enjoy listening to Suk's music, particularly the Asrael. The Mackerras and CPO CD must be a very fine recording.Jose Echenique wrote:

November is usually our coldest month, and we can have lows of -1C or -2C in the early morning Seán.Seán wrote:In Mexico City? In the tropics? Surely not Pepe?Jose Echenique wrote:[

Mexico City doesn´t have a tropical weather like Acapulco or Cancún, we are blessed with very mild weather year ´round. Our warmest days rarely go above 30C, and our coldest usually stay around 5C or 8C.

You see, we have some things in common, like the colors of our flags, though yours has orange and ours is rather red.

Indeed we do, not geographically perhaps but we share a proximity to a more powerful and at times benevolent neighbour.Jose Echenique wrote:You see, we have some things in common, like the colors of our flags, though yours has orange and ours is rather red.

Occasionally it dawns on me just how little of my tiny collection I ever actually listen to. Hearing somebody practising a Ballade a couple of days ago reminded me how much I like this music.

I love Chopin's music and so far Rubenstein is my favourite performer of his solo piano works.Diapason wrote:Occasionally it dawns on me just how little of my tiny collection I ever actually listen to. I'm so bad I've only THIS MOMENT remembered I bought that big Chopin box a while ago. I need to quit my job so I can get around to listening to this stuff.
Sean, is the sound quality on the Rubenstein recordings very much in the historical category? I know it's bad form, but I can't cope with that. I'm truly the worst kind of audiophile!
