I found the following story on the NPR Music App for iOS:

Bill Callahan, Live In Concert
by Bob Boilen

NPR - November 14, 2013

This was a perfect night. The setting: A magnificently refurbished synagogue from the turn of the 20th century, with a stunning domed ceiling, menorah's flanking the sides of the stage. Add to it a minimal band of guitar, bass, drums and the beautiful, if deadpan, baritone of singer and guitarist Bill Callahan....

I've been listening to more music today than in a long time - thanks to a poxy cold.

This double piece of vinyl magic arrived this morning and it's bloody marvellous! Performed on the back of a truck
with storm clouds gathering and sleepy people sunning themselves on the beach. It's one of the most alive Jimi recordings
captured with Mitch's drums high up in the mix (only to fade back down again from time to time) and the chaotic feeling
is kept totally intact. No tightness here and all the better for it imo....Plus it also features one of the most sublime sounding
versions of Red House where, for once, amid all the chaos, they actually come together as a group. Also Tax Free and Hear My Train A'Comin get their very first live airing. Absolutely spellbinding....For for a Jimiphile I'm completely lost for words as to how this has languished in the vaults for the last 40 plus years!!!!!
