and try original, it has done adjustment according to vibration/mellowness/brightness. 2.82 more bright, more strong, maybe such needed. im thinking.

uploaded mqn.exe x.82 mod_heap04 in the experiment folder. try try

i made a mistake in mod. it makes piano flows more correct than ever. don't ask me why. i don't know. haha. never heard better. x.82 has incorrect tune. this mistake fixes it. i am so happy!

heap and stack should begin with 40. i put 04. that's the only difference.

MUST TRY. best piano flow. correct tune.

going to need to learn what heap and stack actually means! i can't just do this blindly

original mqn2.82 is best. only incorrect is too bright. sometimes a bit more weight than norm. otherwise, it is the most real piano.

for compromise, mqn.exe2.82 mod_heap04 is best for headphones.. am very happy with this mistake haha

original version and mod version have ear pain in treble note. difficult to listen except on speakers.

lol stack and heap is interesting.

4 variables:
stack reverve
stack commit
heap reserve
heap commit

only played with stack on mqn.exe2.82. only tested piano.

XA mod has stack as 64 to 8 or (40 to 8 in hex)
64 to 8 is bright.
32 to 8 less bright.
16 to 8 less bright.
8 to 8 less bright.
4 to 8 not bright. loss vibration. bass muddy.
2 to 8 not bright. loss vibration. bass muddier.

2 to 4. not bright. recover some vibration. recover clarity.
1 to 2. not bright. recover vibration. recover clarity.

1 to 2 is best so far. very interesting.
must try mqn.exe2.82(mod_s&h1_2). AMAZING. good bass good treble. the stage is wrong in original. this mod seems to fix it

Took my eye of this thread for a little while and coming back it is now really confusing even after reading the past 2 pages!!

You guys testing MQN or LEKT Player? or a mix of MQN.exe with Lekt?

Once you got in to sound card mods I lost interest but running MQN.exe has grabbed my attention again :-0
Cheers, Pearse.
