uploaded v2.15 1024. try test it for instrument positionings, feel improved, im waiting for comment.
tomorrow i will busy 2-3 day, maybe not online. see you soon.
tested in XA's win7

1. 2.16>2.15. coz 2.15 has layer of control. 2.16 is mellow, airy, great vibration as always.

2. instrument positions and overall integration
-good enough for me. all i care is focus.
-not better than XA + XA's win7.
-hard to explain. you just need to setup the OS environment exactly as XA is developed in, you shall hear what i hear. it is not at all what you heard on win8 or 2012 or normal win7.

3. vocal
-very very good. good texture, vibration. excellent emotion.
-has same problem like before. when singer sings loud, sounds great.
-when singer sings quieter, it is just good. e.g. the finishing of a word is not giving enough.
-amount of emotion can be better or worse than XA1030A and MQn 2.71v2 depending on the situation.
-in general, prefer lekt player for vocal. XA1030A is regularly not giving enough. MQn 2.71v2 is too mellow.

4. earaches.
-less and less earaches. 0.0001% earaches.

5. trebles
-better. could be even better.

6. bass
-lekt player is the king of rock and metal! that drum is real! i would not consider another player for bass

7. piano
-bass notes are amazing
-treble notes... finishing not good. rebounce too fast. it should hold on for a bit and then rebounce.
-treble notes sound too legato when they shouldn't be. youtube 'piano legato' you will know what i mean.

thx

thanks JC for detail testing and comments.

uploaded lekt.exe1644 v1.11 read file, more analog, all things keeped. i think better than v2.16 1024, especially on AMD RamDisk environment.

interesting with read file method. now it is better once again vs RAM method in my case.

tested in R1
-fast drum seems better.
-less earaches.
-vocal better. emotion better. each word finishes better. weaker vocal vibration? vibration can be more.
-treble better!
-bass is great as always.
-stage better
-drum is less weight. was it too much weight? i cannot tell. think drum can be deeper.
-this version is less aggressive. more easy to use on headphone.
-in general, may need more depth. need more power!
-piano better. flows better. weight more correct. light weight notes can be more crispy more deep.

my testing isn't very accurate. coz i had been switching between 7 and R1 and R2 all weekends.

v2.17.1 1024 test: JC pls test once again for your soundcard compatible, im very prefer its method as v2.8, but work only with my soundcard.

yes, there's micro change i have detected (code has changed), think not easy detect it. i like v2.16 1024's sound texture, then tried keep all in 2.17, only impvove a bit bit vibration. so sharpness reduced, think ~0.1%, and other things changed ~0.1%. try with headphone.

both 2.17 work.

-piano better. weight more correct. legato doesn't sound right.
-flow is better.

uploaded v2.17.2 1024, v2.17.3 1024 improved vibration. now more difficult detect difference and changes, i tried keep already good things, then just made micro changes, this way mor safe now (soundstage very easy lost if not careful control by code). try it.
