Good to know. I will give it a shot tomorrow and report back.sbgk wrote:it works on AMD, I can also do an AMD compile, but it should work on AMD 64. Check with cpuz if you have sse2 or sse4.1 and select the appropriate version of MQn.sebna wrote:My God this thread has some growth rate ! I did not read it for 2 - 3 days and I have a back log of 40 pages ... such a shame that my audio-pc is AMD based and because of it I can only read about MQN. Well jmini and hibernate are also good companions and most important I did not hear MQN yet so I dont know what I am loosing. Now I have to keep it like this as long as I can ;)
the 2.65 versions are the best

Congrats Sbgk, the 2.53 v3 is the biggest step from previous versions.
So detailed and transparent and also so relaxed! I never heard the fly farting in the recording before! ;-)
Bass is so tight and articulate. To cut the crap, I don't know what else I will ask more!
Thanks man.

don't know if 2.65 sse4 intel isn't better, v3 has more detail, but less musicsima66 wrote:Congrats Sbgk, the 2.53 v3 is the biggest step from previous versions.

v2 is the same as v3 except for 16 bit has same setting as 2.65 sse4 intel, so shall delete v2.
Re: MQN
Just to correct myself, before I raise more confusion! I meant 2.65 V3.sima66 wrote:Congrats Sbgk, the 2.53 v3 is the biggest step from previous versions.

I like a detailed sound. It might be not right, but I love it!

-prefer 2.64 sse4 intel xmm. also like 2.65 v3.
-prefer 2.65 v3 > 2.65. softer. mellower. 2.65's bass is less than norm. v3 may need slightly more bass to feel warmer.
-2.65s feels more dreamy than real.

Guys, thanks for your advice regarding the motherboards and CPU!

Re: MQN
Exactly. 2.65 sse2 sounds best for me. Micro details, 3d and overall balance are stunning.sbgk wrote: the 2.65 versions are the best

Re: MQN
I've only had a listen to 2.65 SSE4 V3, not had a chance to listen to the SSE2 version. Have to say it's as reported - very good indeed.
Will try the SSE2 version, for the sake of completeness.
Meanwhile - A 24bit version of the above would be welcome :-)

Re: MQN
It is pretty quiet today here. I guess everyone is busy listening these new version. I did play last night with V3 only, and all I can say is, I have never heard the details and micro tones like then.
Same like Sima66, I can't say the presentation is 100% right, but it is damn "laser sharp". I will try different versions tonight to see what I like better.
