You are way ahead of me Tony, I am running Server Core off internal drives on both PC's.
My USB stick with Server Core is sitting idly by and I never got to wire in a DC supply to it.
Afraid that is for another weekend.

Hi Tony,
All things being equal the audio pc sounds better than vinyl. The quality of the recording is what tips the sq one way or the other. Hi res files are better, but then again there are some really well recorded CDs that are better than hi-res.and vinyl If it makes sence after having the pc running for the last few days the sound seems to be improving.
Maybe it is an imaginary improvement in the Meicord cable which is of course impossible.

Maybe that is it. In reality it is a battery charger not a battery supply. The phone plugged in means it works fine with charger unplugged.
The issue that needs to be resolved is that they advise unplugging the wallwart when the anker is fully charged as it will shorten its life if left plugged in hence some option to keep it powering the usb needs to be found. Kinda hoping the second usb key will be drawing enough to convince it still needs to remain on. Unfortunately that means I am back to you Nigel for another one of those cables? Have to see it being made at some point as I need to jump in and start making them. BTW Pearse I aint ahead of the game Nigel is supplying the parts I just plug them in. Santa might bring me a new soldering station and I will then hopefully be making my own.

mad money for a ethernet cable
it a bit like think of a figure and multiply it by 10

even the meicord looks like it should only cost €40 and its a well made cable

Tony you buy it we'll try it
