Great stuff Markof! Have you started experimenting with all the various settings yet :)
Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
Most of the switches on the base are concerned with customising setup for individual cartridges (load, capacitance etc.) . Once done the other main control is a switch on the front for choosing between 3 RIAA curves - seems that different record companies used different "standards" when biasing recordings for lp. This switch can also be used as a tone control depending on taste.cybot wrote:markof wrote:

Overall the iPhono is a big improvement for me in SQ over my previous phono amp (NAD) and reveals what a decent turntable/cartridge combo the Pro-ject/Ortofon 2M Red has turned out to be.
BTW no rumble/wow or motor noise problems experienced with the TT (debut carbon esprit).

For the day that's in it. Pure ancient black diamond travelled grooves. And then there was two....RIP Ray Manzarek. Not their best album by a long shot but I always loved the imagery both inside and out.
Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
The piano solo on Riders is simply exquisite and was probably my first real introduction to the piano sound in Rock music and, of course, what a keyboardist of Ray's ability could do....
