ya big eejit ya Simon!

Seriously though, that's quite a find and breakthrough. Bet you're relieved now.

There must be a market there for anti-resonance audiophile grade driver screws.

Where can I get these screws? I'll need them cryo-treated.

No idea. You'll have to ask one of the believers.

This reminds of the time I brought my very shiny gold-plated Jadis pre-amp into Cloney's to be checked because I couldn't get any sound. A few days later they got back to me with "no fault found". I'm used to getting this with intermittent faults which are too shy to be seen at the menders, but this was a pure no audible sound! I eventually reckoned that I'd flipped the "Source/Monitor" switch while polishing the shiny faceplate, and I couldn't see it because I never used that switch, not having a recording device! I was very embarassed when I realised, but Cloney's were very nice about it.

Clearly I'm too dim to use a big hi-fi!

Bloody hell you should have got ghostbusters out a long time ago. Incredible it went on that length of time. Sure you nearly did your back in moving the wadia to my place.

Are you sure you found it!! How did the screws magically on some days not product the vibrations?

Delighted you are sorted without expense but now you need to bring all the long suffering tirnahifers who have diligently listened to your troubles unnecessarily for 4yrs out on the town.

Not sure whether this is the source of the "variable sound" problem, because I can't square away what would cause things to change. Ambient temperature? Atmospheric pressure? Dunno. Anyway, the regenerator means any electricity gremlins have been banished, so hopefully that's ended one way or the other.

Its great I felt the same when Fran advised the primaluna wasn't a lump of junk. The regenerator even though suggestions are its better to run the amp directly off the mains gives you a sense of protection for your precious transformers. I dont think graaf are making many more of them.
