Flat Speaker Cable...

Post by jaybee »

So, in the vein of maximising waf, in order to minimise impact and get access to more possibilities for locating the hifi, I'm going to have to drop my firehose, transparent speaker cable...

I've seen that Noel uses nordost of a flat construction for the speakers in the front room, as they can travel under carpet, but how do you get them to turn a corner?

They have to come up from under the carpet somewhere! In Noel's room the speakers are at right angles to the run of cable.... So how do you coax them into a curve, are they pretty flexible?

or does anyone suggest an alternate solution? (on a budget!) (being a small budget) (like tiny)
Brass Bands are all very well in their place -
outdoors and several miles away....

Johnny, I run Nordost Flatline cable around a fireplace hearth and it is quite flexible once you do not bend it back onto of itself. It blends very well with the wooden floor so high waf in my case!

thanks lads...

Cybot there's a qed one that's tiny in that link... might be perfect...

Fergus... Flatline is what I was thinking of picking up, so it'll make a gentle curve?

Certainly Johnny. If you are in the area before you make your purchase you are welcome to drop over again to have a more detailed look.

Good luck with the house too :) BTW, you do know that most of the Incubus catalogue is back on vinyl. I spotted a whole batch of their stuff in Tower last time I was in.....I take it you're still a fan and.....committed to your own vinyl odyssey :)

if decor permits these are great for getting cable around a fireplace without the missus beating you to a bloody pulp.
